2025 Canadian Federal Election Guide
Leading up to the 2025 Canadian Federal Election, I saw an uptick in general confusion and apathy from people. It seemed the overall consensus was that the snap election, combined with former PM Justin Trudeau's resignation and the weeks-earlier provincial election, left many people unsure about what each party was campaigning on, and who they were voting for.
While I have my own political opinions that likely differ from many of my peers and community, I hold deeply the belief that no matter who you choose to vote for, it should be done from a place of being informed and knowledgeable. So, I created a guide that put together the basic information.
I chose to include information on how to vote, where to vote, and when to vote, as I know that it can be confusing for those who are new to voting in Canada, or who do not speak English as a first language.
The key issues I chose to include came from two polls conducted in the months leading up to the election, as I felt they gave the most accurate representation of how voters felt. All of the policy platforms were taken directly from each party's platform.
